Privacy Statement

SEO Library Center strives to insure the (CIA) Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of all library patron data within our control by utilizing current and modern security hardware, software and techniques. SEO is dedicated to the privacy and confidentiality of all library patron information that resides within our systems.

To receive a library card, library patrons are required to provide identifying information such as name, birth date and mailing address. This identifying information is retained as long as the library user continues to use the library card.

Transactional data such as:

  • Items currently checked out
  • Items on hold
  • Overdue items
  • Fines and/or fees

Is only retained until the transaction is completed and/or data is no longer needed.

SEO regularly reviews and purges personally identifiable information that is no longer needed to manage library services. Card holders who fail to use library services within 3 (three) years are purged from our system.

Patrons may choose to receive email and/or SMS notifications regarding:

  • items available for pickup
  • pre-overdue notices
  • overdue notices
  • fines and or fees

Patrons may change or suspend their choice of notification at any time by contacting their home library.

No personal information is gathered by SEO while you visit this website or any library catalog websites maintained by SEO.

Some data such as browser type is gathered by Google Analytics via the use of cookies, but is in no way is tied to individual user accounts and records.
